Leipzig Nazi Forced Labour Memorial
The museum commemorates the victims, injustices and history of the use of forced labour by the NS in Leipzig and the consequences of this practice. Located on the premises of HASAG – formerly the biggest weapons manufacturer of Saxony – the museum commemorates the wartime experience of thousands of civilian forced labourers, prisoners of war and internees of concentration camps in the Leipzig region.
The Museum provides an information centre for former forced labourers and their relatives, researches previously neglected aspects of the topic and collects historical documents.
The permanent exhibition is complemented by events, guided tours of the museum, guided tours around the town, and an education program.
