Egbert Jan Beumkes (1922-2001)
was brought to Leipzig in the Summer of 1942 and made to carry out enforced labour at the HASAG company. He lived at the “Dutch Camp Amstel” on the factory grounds themselves with other Dutch civilian labourers.

was an Italian prisoner of war engaged in forced labour in Leipzig. He worked at “Erla Maschinenwerke GmbH” and was accommodated at the “Gasthof Thekla” inn.

Danuta Brzosko-Mędryk (1921-2015)
was trafficked to the concentration camp “Hasag Leipzig – the largest women’s subcamp of Buchenwald – in June 1944. More than 5,000 female internees had to produce HASAG anti-tank warheads and ammunition at this site.
